Dragon Ball Magnets
Admittedly, I was not raised on Dragon Ball as a young kid like a lot of people. I was definitely more of a Sailor Moon & Pokemon lover… I actually discovered how wacky and adorable it could be much later in life!
I wanted to bring my own unique craft to this awesome list of Dragon Ball ideas, so I thought combining my love of working with clay AND new found appreciation for Dragon Ball would be just the thing. My favorite part was how easily these DIY magnets came together! PLUS, who doesn’t love a craft that also serves a purpose? 🖐

This quick craft takes just about one hour from start to finish, so it’s a great gift idea for your favorite fighter! Here’s what you’ll need to get started.
Supply List
- Orange Polymer Clay
- Translucent Polymer Clay (optional)
- Red Polymer Clay
- Circle Cutter
- Star Cutter
- Magnet
- E6000 Glue
How To Make Dragon Ball Magnets:
First, make the orange Dragon Ball shapes out of clay. I started with translucent clay and orange clay, mixing these together until I had the desired color I wanted for the Dragon Balls. Translucent wasn’t entirely necessary, I just prefer the way it looks when finished. Roll it out to your desired thickness and cut with a circle clay cutter or cookie cutter.
Next, use red polymer clay to make the star shapes. Roll out the red clay and cut out each star shape. Press each star in place on top of each Dragon Ball gently, or use liquid polymer clay to attach them before baking. Bake as recommended on packaging.
Finally, glue the magnet to the back of the Dragon Ball. I used E6000 glue to ensure they would hold up on my fridge and last. You can use super glue or hot glue but you may risk them falling apart if they are weighted heavily. Now, onto even more fun Dragon Ball crafts!
