Give this easy DIY felt plushie gift to your favorite Bob’s Burger fan! It takes minimal supplies and only about 30 minutes to complete this cute, handmade Kuchi Kopi plushie!
I’ve been a big fan of the Bob’s Burgers show since it first aired on Fox! With Louise being one of my favorite characters, I naturally had to make my own Kuchi Kopi collectible.
This great craft takes very little time to make and is NO SEW! So it’s perfectly easy for anyone to make as long as you have a little hot glue and felt on hand.
How to Make Kuchi Kopi Felt Plushie:
Break out the hot glue gun, turn on your favorite episodes of Bob’s Burgers and let’s craft our favorite little guy together!
Here’s what you’ll need to get started crafting your own Bob’s Burgers DIY felt plushie –
Supplies Needed For Felt Plushie
- Neon Green Felt 9×12 (this particular shade is Kunin – Neon Green from Hobby Lobby)
- White Felt
- Black Felt
- Scissors
- Pen
- Polyester Filling or Stuffing
- Hot Glue Gun
- Kuchi Kopi Printable Template
Leftover felt scraps will make excellent plushie filler if you don’t have any filling on hand!
Making DIY Felt Plushie:
The best part about this diy no sew plushie craft is that it can be made from one sheet of green felt and a couple of leftover scraps of white and black felt. Let’s get going!
For the first step, cut out the Kuchi Kopi from the downloadable template in the supply list above.
Trace your kuchi kopi cut out on one side of the green felt sheet with a Sharpie or pencil. Make sure to leave enough space on the felt sheet that you can trace the other side of the plushie.
Trace both sides of your Bob’s Burger plushie on the same green sheet of felt as seen above. Now you’ve got the front and back of this plushie traced. Bravo!
Now, cut out both sides of your Kuchi Kopi plush from the felt sheet.
Now for the best part! Cut out Kuchi Kopi’s eye hole! 😂 I recommend cutting out just one eye to trace to keep them relatively the same size.. (I’m feeling some zombie Kuchi Kopi inspo from this picture).
Trace two eyes on a small white piece of felt, then trim them from the felt using scissors. Don’t stress if they aren’t perfectly round! Kuchi kopi is known for having eyes that are a little bit wonky, afterall.
Once you’ve finished making the eyeballs, grab a very small piece of black felt. You’re only going to need a very tiny amount.
From your piece of black felt, snip off two super tiny pieces to create the dots of the eyeballs as shown above. Make them as small as you can, but large enough that you can attach them to hot glue without burning your fingers. I used tweezers to place mine!
Glueing the black pieces down first, securely hot glue the eyes in place on your Kuchi Kopi felt plush.
Tough to see here – but line up your plushie pieces and run a bead of hot glue just around the inner edge of the back of your stuffie. Carefully push the face of the plushie onto the back while still leaving the bottom open and without glue for easy stuffing.
Don’t worry if your cutouts don’t perfectly match up, you can easily trim off any excess hangover using scissors.
Stuff your diy plushie using cotton, polyfil, or leftover felt scraps. Leave a little free space at the bottom so you can press the bottom together with another long bead of hot glue.
Now you’re all fluffed! All that’s left to do is draw on a little mouth using a marker. I used a micro pen to really capture the thin mouth shape.
Now you’re complete! Give your plushie a little squish to see if any sides need any additional gluing as a last touch before gifting to a friend.
These were such a blast to make! They take such little material and expertise that they’d be really fun to make as a group while hosting a Bob’s Burger marathon or watch party! They’re excellent inexpensive Christmas gifts, stocking stuffers, or birthday presents for a Bob’s Burger fan.
